MY RANDOM THOUGHTS.
I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes

First off let me start with saying that the only other Planet of the Apes movie I’ve seen is the one that Tim Burton did in 2001, I don’t remember much of it, all I remember about is; Apes, an astronaut, it was dark and I was bored. Apparently Tim Burton did a horrible job remaking the original, (not surprising to me, seeing how I dislike most if not all of his movies, sorry Burton people), which I did not see because I wasn’t born yet.

I don’t have a car to drive to the nearest theater so I decided to watch it online, the site I use if anyone is interested is letmewatchthis, just type that in into google and click on the first link. I’m getting distracted now, but as I was saying I didn’t have the luxury of watching the movie in a nice dark place, with refreshments, a huge screen and awesome surround sound; I had headphones and my living room couch. The fact that I didn’t have these luxuries proves, to me, how great the movie really is. Now I’m not going to go into great details on this because of the “NOOOO SPOILERS AHJDGKHALSDBMVN” *<——- anger* of the internet.

I was really, REALLY glad to see that “the cure” wasn’t the main name for the vaccine but instead a nickname; good thing because I though that my 7 year old cousin could come up with a more creative name than “the cure”. (“The cure? Really? That’s what you’re getting paid for? COME ON!!!!” The star of the entire movie was Caesar, played by Andy Serkis, yeah I googled it because I didn’t know his name, his face is a bit odd but HEY, whose isn’t?

Enough of my life story now it’s the movie, for reals, no more getting distracted. The story is great, I had a lot of fun, or as much fun as you can sitting down and staring at a screen. What I really liked though was the fact that it said how and why Caesar was so smart along with the reasons for wanting that serum in production. Along with his super brain, it was also showed how he came into power. By the middle of the movie I was really rooting for Caesar and the apes, don’t know why. I don’t really know what else to say about it except that it was really good, go watch it if you haven’t seen it, and stick around until after the credits, the guy who illegally filmed it was kind enough to edit out the credits and show a scene that happens after the credits.

Good movie is good, I’d give it 4.5/5, I was hoping to see a bit more of the Apes and I was hoping it would be a bit longer. 1 hour 40 minutes is good though.
